Sonjia Richard Berthelot, 67, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
Mrs. Berthelot retired from Thibodaux Lumber after 42 years of dedicated service. She will be remembered by most people as a wonderful caring person, but to her family she will always be a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lester Berthelot; daughters, Meredith Clifton and Abbey (David Jr.) Richard; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Joyceline Richard; and one brother, Bruce Richard.
Visitation will be 8:15 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. (Thibodaux)
