Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Stafford R. Wallis, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Albuquerque, N.M., died Thursday, March 4, 2010.
Mr. Wallis was a member of the armed services and a retired New Mexico state trooper.
He is survived by his children, Patrick, Renae and Stephannie Wallis; four grandchildren; brothers, Benjamin, Donald, Melvin, Harrison, Lionel, Kenneth and Tony Wallis; sisters, Diane Coleman, Linda Butler, Gaynell Wallis and Wanda Bowie; brother-in-law, Dr. James A. Butler Jr.; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy M. Wallis; and sister, Claudia Wallis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
