Stafford J. Walters, 54, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010.
Mr. Walters was a member and a deacon of Howard Third Zion Travelers Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Stafford Shepard; brothers, Lionel, Carey (Rosa) and Richard Walters; and sisters, Evelyn Walters, Mary Poindexter, Gloria (Keith) Landry, Gail (Alvin) Moore and Debra (Kevin) Stoval.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Sr. and Doretha Tillman Walters; five brothers, Charley Jr., Leonard, Willie Lee, Daniel and Edward Walters; three sisters, Mercedes Smith, and Stella and Bertha Walters; and his grandparents, Bertha Robinson and Joe Tillman, and Sarah Johnson and Amos Walters.
He is buried at Crozier Cemetery.
