November 29, 2010Stanley “Bernard” Whitney, 87, a native of New Orleans, La., and lifelong resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Elmay Marie Domangue; sons, Gregory (Fabian), Richard (Helen), Philip (Nonna), and Christopher Whitney; daughters, Patricia “Patty” Gravois, Ella (Lee) LeCompte, Mary Whitney, and Elmay (Irvin “Buddy”) Hotard; one daughter-in- law, Diane Boudreaux Bass; and sisters, Genevieve (Charles) Darsey and Claire (Ellis “Peter”) Lottinger.
He is buried at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
