Stella P. Breaux, 87, a native of Lockport, La. and resident of Larose, La., died Thursday, May 14.


She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clarence Breaux Sr.; three daughters, Carolyn Smith and husband, Russell “Yo”, Kathleen Plaisance and husband, Randall “CoCo”, and Patricia “Pat” Guidry and husband, Norman “Pigeon”; one brother, Leroy Punch and wife, Hazel; one sister, Mary Holsapple; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Anita Punch; two sons, Larry Breaux and Clarence “C.J.” Breaux Jr.; eight brothers, Odelie, Clement, Manny, Edmond, Nolan, Cleveland, Ecton, and Warren Punch; and four sisters, Edna P. Rogers, Beulah P. Pitre, Velma P. Ford, and Verna P. Vedros.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, a member of Ladies Altar Society, a volunteer for the Larose Civic Center, and a homemaker.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
