Sylvia Patricia “Pat” Flynn, 85, a native of Vancouver, B.C., and longtime resident of Houma, La., was died Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Mrs. Flynn was a past president of the Krewe of Hyacinthians. The daughter of Scotch immigrants, she was raised in Detroit, Mich., until moving to Terrebonne Parish with her husband, the late Dr. John Flynn, in 1954.


She is survived by sister, Joannie Plonkey; children, Dr. Mike (Darlene), Sharon (Henry) Richard, Jeffrey (Susan), Dr. Victor Flynn and Jackie (Keith) McGuire; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
