Tanya Dufrene Plaisance, 35, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died Sunday, Aug. 9.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest “Kevin” Plaisance; parents, Travin Sr. and Linda Matherne Dufrene; one daughter, Jasmin Lynn Plaisance; one brother, Travin “Boo” Dufrene Jr.; one sister, Angel Dufrene Gisclair and husband Mickey; and two godchildren, Maci Gisclair and Savannah Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nerman “Pete” and Lillie Matherne, Irvin Dufrene and Julianne Matherne and husband Columbus; father and mother-in-law, Ernest “Bodyguard” and Maggie Ruth Plaisance; and one sister, Marilyn Sue Dufrene.
She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and enjoyed music and her dog, Choco.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Christian Fellowship Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
