Terrebonne’s derelict vessel removal first phase complete
June 22, 2011Tessa M. Brownlee, 81, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry Brownlee; daughters, Bonnie (Bill) Martiny and Nancy Brownlee; sisters, Mona Boquet, Thelma Trahan; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loveless and Beulah Matherne; brothers, John, Whitney and Stephen Matherne; sisters, Elaine Matherne and Isabelle Hebert; and grandparents, Ursin and Clenda Matherne and Albert and Arcade Savoie.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23 at Bayou Blue Methodist Church. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with interment to follow at Matherne Cemetery. (Samart)
