Tessie France Falgout Gautreaux, 83, a native and resident of Raceland, La. died Sunday, December 9, 2007, at 7:50 a.m.


She is survived by her three daughters, Patsy Falgout Gautreaux, Donna Falgout, and Pamela Falgout McGee; three brothers, Thomas France, Joseph France, and Herman France; one sister, Louella Falgout Labit; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alex Falgout; her second husband, Murphy Gautreaux; her parents, Herbert and Lucia Baudoin France; one daughter, Judy Falgout Ledet; three brothers, Hebert France, Jr., Ephy France, and Lester France; and two sisters, Hazel Baar and Shirley Marshall.


Tessie was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews, La.

Visitation is Wednesday, December 12, 2007, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Hilary Catholic Church. She will be buried in Resurrection Memorial Park in Raceland.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of South Louisiana at 6500 Main Street in Houma, La. 70360.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
