Thelma Brunet Carlos, 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Schriever, La., died Monday, September 15.


She is survived by her husband, Julius Carlos; three sons, Donald Carlos and wife Nancy, Ray Carlos and James Carlos and wife Mary; three daughters, Linda Plakeman of Schriever, Beverly Gros and husband Russell of Gray, La., and Susan Mahan and husband Wayne of Des Allemands, La.; five brothers, Carrol Brunet, Earl Brunet, Roy Brunet, L.J. Brunet and Richard Brunet; two sisters, Mayola Cunningham and Shirley Rodrigue; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus Brunet and Missie Callahan Brunet; and four brothers, Sylvain Brunet, Wilson Brunet, Allen Brunet and Luby Brunet.

She was a homemaker and loved to quilt and sew and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Ladies Altar Society and an altar dresser. She was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church.

She was buried at St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
