Thelma “Mickey” Use’ Himel, 83, a native of Schriever, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, September 23, 2007.

She is survived by two sons, Lester P. Himel, Jr. and his wife Linda and Charles J. Himel and his wife Debbie; two daughters, Jane Legleu and her husband David and Patricia Johnson and her husband Bobby; three sisters, Benny Picou Ber, Kitty U. Bourgeois, and Rose U. Hoffman; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester P. Himel, Sr.; her parents, William “Willie” and Theresa Bernard Use’; and two sisters, Juanita U. Bourgeois and Celine U. Bourgeois.

Visitation is Wednesday, September 26, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. She will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
