Thelma Marie Daigle Davidson, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011.

Mrs. Davidson was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She was a meticulous housekeeper, a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic daughters and Altar Society and a retired officer and bookkeeper of Davidson Hardware.


She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn (Billy) Talbot; grandsons, W.J. (Monica) and Charles Talbot; great-grandson, William Talbot IV; sister, Gloria (Ray) Marcello; brother, Milton (Beverly) Daigle; and many special nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her, husband of 68 years, Charles Davidson; parents, Frederick and Priscilla Daigle; brothers, Fred and Warren Daigle; sisters, Virgie Junot, Dorothy George, Arlette Toups and Mae Thibodeaux; and grandparents, Joseph Daigle, Marie Adou, Franklin Bergeron and Virginia Guerrin.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. (Chauvin)
