Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion
January 12, 2010Theresa Dubois Authement, 86, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Legion Unit 0380 and the Ladies Auxiliary V7H Post 9608.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianna (Donald Jr.) Tivet; sons, Walter (Barbara), Jennings (Jean), and Dale (Diane) Authement; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston J. Authement; parents, Adam and Emily Trahan Dubois; brothers, Davis and Louis Dubois; sisters, Marie Labit Breaux, Marceline Bergeron, Elda Falgout and Aline Duplantis; and granddaughter, Jenny Marie Authement.
She is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
