Theresa Jones Nells, 68, a native of Lafayette, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.


Ms. Nells was a retired courtesy driver and a member of Residence Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Wilbert Fusilier and Melvin McKinley Jr.; daughters, Beverly Brown, Sandra (Bruce) Hampton, Michelle Smith, Chenell Fusilier and Dominique McKinley; brothers, Joseph (Joyce) Cormier, Wilson and Junius Edmond, Joseph (Theresa), Mark, Wilbert, Gabrial and LeRoy (Octavia) Jones, Arthur Harris and Dalton (Dianne) Savoy; sisters, Chrystal Grays, Mary Brown, Lisa and Mildred Jones, Clara Edmond, Albertha (Jessie) Alfred, Bertha (Bobby) Bernard, Mary Bruno, Selena (Curly) Sam, Josephine (Albert) Carmouche, Rita (Kenny) Briggs and Dalphine (Peter) Gerrod; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at Residence Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Union Benevolent Cemetery.She was a member of Friendly Thirteen, Gardenia Stitch and Nitch, Sr. Usher Board at Residence Baptist Church, Classic Ladies and Union Benevolent Society. She was also a retired courtesy driver and a member of Residence Baptist Church.

Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
