Tommie Joe Beason, 65, a native of Evansville, Ind., and resident of Bayou L’Ourse, La., died Thursday, June 16, 2011.


Mr. Beason was a retired employee of the U.S. Corps of Engineers where he was a lock and dam operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood-working and coin collecting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by son, Tommie Beason; daughter, Tammy (Ernest) Guilbeau; brothers, Frank, Robert, Richard and Gene Beason; sisters, Vernie Dunn and Katie Lyons; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Caro; parents, Frank and Vernie Beason; and sister, Sarah. (Hargrave)
