Ulysse Joseph “Galic” Bonvillian, 74, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bayou Black, La., died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011.


Mr. Bonvillian was a member of the National Guard.


He is survived by his sons, Louis, Timothy and Brian Bonvillian; daughters, Shanna (Curtis) Verrett and Kim Bergeron; sisters, Shirley Theriot and Merle Savoie; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jetty Bonvillian; parents, Rufus and Gertie Bonvillian; brother, Louis Bonvillian; and grandson, Curtis Verrett III.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 8 and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9 at Falgout Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Anthony Cemetery. (Falgout)
