Comeback ‘Chief’ coming home for bout

Velma Robichaux Mayet, 89 a native and resident of Raceland, La., and Reno, Nev., died Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Mrs. Mayet was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 349 and Freddie John Falgout Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Bob) Jackson; brother, Milton Robichaux; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lory Mayet; parents, Merille and Cerita Robichaux; brothers, Herman, Huey and Irvin Robichaux; and sister, Verna Madere.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
