Verda Mae “Mary” Pugh, 74, a native of Paincourtville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
Ms. Pugh was a retired nurse.
She is survived by her sisters, Iola (Levin) Pugh-Hunter, Leola Brown and Rosa (Willie) Pugh-Jones; and brothers, Leroy, John and Larry (Jeanette) Pugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theophus Sr. and Lizzie Pugh; sisters, Bernice Martin and Linnie Johnson; and brothers, Curtis, Theophus Jr. and Martin Pugh.
Visitation will be 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Charles Baptist Church in Paincourtville with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Williams & Southall)
