Virgie Lee Theresa Champagne LeBeouf, 81, a native of Theriot, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011.

Mrs. LeBeouf loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of the family pets. She never met a stranger and accepted all as family. She enjoyed music, traveling, camping and a ride on a Harley-Davidson this past fall. Fishing was her greatest passion until her health interfered with her ability to launch the boat and fish whenever she wanted.

She is survived by her sons, Eric (Linda), Bryan (Rhonda) and Dwight (Patty) LeBeouf; daughters, Wanda (Walter) Guidry, Shira (Robert “Bobby”) Blanchard, Amy (Martin “Paul”) Porche, Renee Blanchard and Leah Hood; 13 grandchildren, Racheal Marie, Shannon Buquet, Niki Hebert, David LeBeouf, April Blanchard, Lacie Tivet, Brad LeBeouf, Ginger Curet, Heather Savoie, Brody Porche, Miranda Blanchard, Trista LeBeouf and Daniel Hood; 15 great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Shane Marie, Luke, Dillon, Andrew and Ava Tivet, Kyla and Noah Curet, Kain Slaughter, Amber Buquet, Sarah-Grace Porche, Carrie Ledoux, Heaven Hebert, Reagan and Maya LeBeouf; sister-in-law, Raymonde Champagne; Godchildren, Louisa Boudreaux, Linda Collins and Phillippe Champagne; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friends of Heritage Manor Nursing Home and her former residence, The Hi-Rise.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Noicia Theriot Champagne Sr.; son, Leon LeBeouf; brothers, Lawrence, Laban and Eugene Champagne Jr.; sisters, Eva Labbe, Inez Orgeron, Lydie Chauvin and Theresa Champagne; and her special friends, Arthur Defay Jr. and Larry Turner.

Special thanks to the staff and residents of Heritage Manor, especially her roommate, Mrs. Odile Thibodaux, for making her last years pleasant. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association or Lung Cancer Foundation. (Samart)
