Virginia “Lady” Dorsey Williams, 65, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Friday, February 29.


She is survived by her daughter, Marnita Jupiter Mills and husband Bruce of Tucson, Az.; sons, Kevin Williams and Troy Anthony Williams of Napoleonville and Kermit Paul Williams of Metairie, La.; brothers, Willie Dorsey Jr., Charles Dorsey, Rev. Ronald Dorsey and wife Connie, and Shedrick Dorsey all of Napoleonville and Rev. Felton Dorsey and wife Judy of Houma, La.; sisters, Nora Jones and Melvinia Dorsey Brinkley and husband Clinton both of New Orleans, La.; and five grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband Wash Williams; parents, Willie Sr and Elevlyn Carter Dorsey; and brother, Ed Murphy Dorsey.

She was a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church and a member of the Deaconess Board and a member of the choir. She was also a member of Mount Moriah Chapter# 24 Order of Eastern Star. Her hobbies included cooking, and enjoying family and friends.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 08, at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church in Napoleonville followed by a religious service. She will be buried at the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
