Virniel Walker Jr., 52, a native of Leesville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012.
Mr. Walker was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Gray, La.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Walker; son, Jerry Williams IV; daughters, Nefretiri Holden, Christina (Frank) Moore and Celestine Singleton; brothers, Dunkin Walker and Thermal Hunter; sisters, Collar Wilson, Jerlean and Doris Walker and Jacqulene Boyd; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virniel and Caldonia Walker; sister, Belinda Thomas; and grandparents, Sue and Andrew Jefferson, Mary Newsome and Junior Walker.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Kennedy)
