W. Paul Rousse, 78, a native of Galliano, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, August 18, 2007.


He is survived by his wife, Juanita Rousse; one son, Jeffery Rousse and his wife Jane; two daughters, Scarlett McBrayer and her husband Bill and Gigi Foret and her husband Tommy; two brothers, Norman and Glen Ray Rousse; one sister, Emelda Chouest; five grandchildren, Amy Gauiter and her husband Eric, Katie Rousse, Heather McBrayer, Anna Rousse, and Blake Foret; and one great-grandchild, Ethan Foret.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Maurice and Eugenie Champagne Rousse.

W. Paul was a devout Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church of Houma, La. He was a United States Army Veteran who served his country during the Korean War. He loved to hunt, fish, and work in his garden. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 22, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at First Baptist Church of Houma.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
