October 27, 2011Walter James Romero Sr., 82, a resident of Berwick, La., died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011.
Mr. Romero was a boat captain by trade but was a wonderful farmer and carpenter. He loved spending time with his family and will be remembered as a good husband and father with a great sense of humor. He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Berwick.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Romero; daughter, Veronica Governale; son, Timothy Romero; four grandchildren; and sisters, Josephine LaCoste, Linda Aliff and Merrell Romero.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Laura Romero; three daughters; two sons; two sisters; and four brothers.
Interment was at Morgan City Mausoleum. (Twin City)
