Wardell Joseph Roberts, 77, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014.
Mr. Roberts was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served his God Jehovah faithfully all of his life.
He is survived by his son, Roland (Tammy) Roberts; daughter, Robin (John) Stevens; their mother, Jane Roberts; brother, Warren (Charlene) Cocke; half-brothers, Alcess Jr. and August Roberts and Percy Sapia; sisters, Linda St. Romain and Louise Singleton; half-sisters, Margie Lodrigue, Vivian Joseph and Earline (Ray) Trosclair; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcess Roberts and Amanda Cocke; brother, Wallace Roberts; and half-brother, Nelson Roberts.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Chauvin Funeral Home with services to follow. (Chauvin)
