Warren J. Clausen, 84, a native of Franklin, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011.


Mr. Clausen retired with more than 40 years of service from Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a Mason, a member of the Kiwanis Club, a charter member of the Schriever and St. John volunteer fire departments and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.


He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Matirne Clausen; children, Warren (Cynthia), Marc (Debra) and Brian (Mary) Clausen, Karen (Donald) Becnel and Lori (Scott) Duet; 12 grandchildren, Michelle Boudreaux, Nicol, Jeremy, Samuel and Sarah Clausen, Adam, Gregory and Jean Becnel, Elise Vincent, and Colt, Guy and Beau Duet; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Ray) Paul; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bernice Allbritton Clausen.

He is buried at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
