Wesley “Marie” Barnes, 75, a native of Early Branch, S.C., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, April 6, 2014.
Mr. Barnes was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed cutting grass, going to work with his dog Bobo, cleaning fish, riding around the bayou, fishing and picking pecans.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosella Flores; brothers, Alfred, Bernard, Tanzle Jr. and Louis Barnes; sisters, Sheryl DeLoach, Rosemary Sullivan, Adell Gray and Karon Barnes; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Barnes; parents, Tanzle and Carrie Barnes; brothers, Marvin, Norman and Kelly Barnes; and sister, Carrie Ann Isner.
Burial is at Holy Family Cemetery in Dulac, La. (Samart)
