Wesley “Ray” Mayo, 68, a native of Winnsboro, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:55 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010.


He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Brenda Pitre; mother, Lena “Elouise” Rice Mayo; sons, Donald (Madeline), Jerry (Christy), Kenneth (Angel) and Darrin (Yvonne) Mayo; daughter, Veronica (Micheal) Gold; brothers, Charles, Douglas and Eric Mayo; sisters, Paula Woodman, Debbie Coates, Donna Carter, Beverly Wallace, Brenda Mayo, Bonnie Gray and Pat Jordan; 16 grandchildren, Coty, Taylor, Cody, Sean, Jonathon, Cierra, Milton, Patricia, Misty, Katline, Darrin Jr., Tate, Kaden, Alisha, Joanie and J.J.; and six great-grandchildren, Cora Lynn, Devin, Caleb, Daimian, Trevor and Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Perot Mayo; father, Wesly Mayo; one daughter, Lisa Perot; and one granddaughter, Tanya Voisin.
