Wilfred “Fred” Antoine Danos Sr., 91, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Houma, La. died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at 5:30 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Joan Belanger Danos; four daughters, Hazel D. Danos and her husband Gerald, Margo D. Martin and her husband Mark, Elmire D. Bergeron and her husband Joey, and Eva D. Galeana and her husband Miguel; two sons, Loyman “Rango” Danos and his wife Mary and Wilfred “Freddie” Danos, Jr. and his wife Paula; 16 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Danos and Elmire Orgeron Danos; four brothers, Jesty, Narcisse, Adolph and Loyman Danos; and two sisters, Viola Barrios and Lydia Cheramie.

Wilfred was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a retired self-employed shrimper, oysterman, cattleman, trapper, gardener, hunter, and oilfield handyman.

He is buried in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
