Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

Wilfred Louis Charles, 62, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, May 11, 2010.
Mr. Charles was a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Elrod-Charles; son, Brendt Sims; brothers, Octave Jr., Marlo Sr., Leo and Arnold Charles; sisters, Wilberine Theriot, Rochelle Abrams, Lois Charles Hill and Trudy Ann Charles; two grandchildren; and four godchildren.
