William “Bill” Wooddall, 69, a native of Providence, R.I. and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 1:38 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2011.


Mr. Wooddall was a veteran of the U.S. Army 182 Airborne and a member of the American Legion and the Bayou Cajun Group for 26 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife, Martha Wooddall; son, Robert Wooddall; daughter, Stacy Labiche; brother, Leonard Wooddall; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nell Wooddall.

Burial was at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery in Golden Meadow. (Samart-Mothe)
