Willie “Poockie” Uzee, 71, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Tuesday, May 6, at 12:37 p.m.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley U. Folse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie “Bill” and Octavia “Tavie” Matherne Uzee; brother, Ira J. Uzee; and sisters, Essie U. Labat and Lela U. McGee.
He was retired from Halter Marine and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Catholic.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
