Wilma Gautreaux Gaudet, 88, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Tuesday, December 9, at 11:40 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Julien Gaudet (Donna), Ronald Gaudet (Annie), Roy (companion Dennis), Philip (Carolyn “Cat”) and Merrill Gaudet; daughters, Linda Gaubert (Danny), Janice Davaine (Jesse), Kathleen LaCombe (Mike), Gayle Arceneaux (Chris), Wilma Matherne (Faron), Evelyn “Lynn” Gaudet and Celeste Theriot (Brent); 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Joseph Gaudet; parents, Philip Gautreaux Sr. and Mathilda Barrios Gautreaux; sons, Wayne, Steve and Robert Gaudet; brothers, Johnny, Philip Jr. and Edward Gautreaux; sisters, Jeanne Galiano, Inez Allemand, Marie Dufrene, Earline Chiasson and Mae Gautreaux; and one grandchild.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 83.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 11, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, December 12, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with burial at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
