Wilma Duplantis Pellegrin, 83, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010.


Ms. Pellegrin was a homemaker and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed her weekly Pokeno games, painting ceramics, crocheting and knitting. She volunteered her time at the Council on Aging and she was a great seamstress.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianna Gail (Roy) Dutton and Yvonne (Woody) Tregre; sons, Bruce Jr. “Beauty” (Sandra), Ricky (Caffie) and Brian (Sonja) Pellegrin; 14 grandchildren; Zina Dion, Wayne Dutton, Gia Champagne, Crystal Arceneaux, Blane Pellegrin, Peggy Sue Dean, Nicole Peterson, April Foret, Chris Kuhn, and Lani, Joshua, Taylor, Brandon and Brett Pellegrin; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Irvin (Drusella) Duplantis; sister, Rita Dupre; and sisters-in-law, Eula Mae, Laura and Jane Duplantis.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Joseph Pellegrin Sr.; parents, Clarence Sr. and Evelina Luke Duplantis; grandchild, Roy Patrick Dutton; brothers, Alvin, Albert “Smile”, Wilbert “T-Boy” (Mabel), Elwin Sr. “Mannie” and Clarence Jr. Duplantis; sisters, Irene (Anthony) Carerre, Evelyn (Norris) Boudreaux and Mildred (Harry) Bourg; and brother-in-law, Allen Dupre.

She is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
