Wilmer “Bill” Joseph Chamberlain, 71, a native of Supreme, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.

Mr. Chamberlain was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus. He was a master machinist and owner of several fabrication ventures. His marriage to his true love of 51 years, Beverly LeBlanc Chamberlain was filled with joy and sadness. Together they overcame many of life’s heartaches and trials. They spent the last 23 years caring for their invalid son, Chad. Bill was an instrumental guiding light for his children, grandchildren and friends. They could always go to him for advice and a cheerful word. He helped many of his friends in time of need and never asked for anything in return. Bill had many pets and especially loved his chocolate lab, Brandy. His joys were hunting, spending time on his property and most of all, his family. Bill’s sudden passing has affected many lives and he will be missed tremendously.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ruth LeBlanc; son, Chad Chamberlain; brother-in-law, Richard Daigle; daughters, Rhonda (Tim) Hollier and Gina (John) Thibodaux; four grandchildren, Dustin, Vincent, and Casey Hollier and Kody Thibodaux; sister-in-law, Betty Chamberlain; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Regina Landry Chamberlain; one grandson, Dallas James Hollier; one brother, William Chamberlain Jr.; and one sister, Rudoyle Daigle.

He is buried at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
