Allen Darcey, 77, native and current resident of Houma, La. passed away on July 13, 2023.
Relatives and friends of the family are welcome to attend the visitation for Mr. Allen on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Chauvin Funeral Home starting at 5pm until 8pm. We would also like to welcome you to attend the funeral service for Mr. Allen on Monday July, 17, 2023 at Chauvin Funeral Home starting at 9am until service time at 11am. There will be military honors held at 10:30am on Monday, July 17. A burial is to follow in Gibson Baptist Cemetery.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Frances Darcey; son’s, Mark Darcey, Darren Darcey (Denise), and Eric Darcey; step-daughters, Heather Jackson (Ben), Dinah Lovell (Wayne), and Belinda Bergeron; Brothers, Louis Darcey (Lois) and Ronald Darcey (Lois); sister, Emma Darcey; Dog, Buddy Darcey; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Elmore and Zona Darcey; and brothers, Jessie Darcey, Earnest Darcey, and Luther Darcey.
Allen was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. On his free time he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing pool. Above everything, Allen truly loved spending his time with his family and loved ones.
The family would like to send out a huge thank you to Frances Darcey and Denise Darcey. They would also like to thank Dr. Scott Haydel, Bayou Home Healthcare, Haydel Hospice, and Council on aging for all their help and support.
