Antoine Ellis “Moui” Billiot, Sr. gained his wings on December 19, 2023, at the age of 66.

A native of Dulac, Louisiana born on June 4, 1957. Ellis was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and godfather. His kids and grandkids were his world. He fought bladder cancer for many years to be there for his family. He was one of a kind and well liked by all who knew him. He loved riding around the bayou and visiting with his close friends, like Fletcher and Atlas Lodrigue, to name a few. Ellis’s presence will be missed by his family and friends.

Ellis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Dynell Trosclair Billiot and their children, Ellis Billiot, Jr. and his wife Melissa, April Sunshine Billiot Thibodeaux and her husband Kevin, Jacob Billiot and his wife Nikisha, and Jessica Plaisance and her companion Webb, siblings, Eldrina Fleming, Abraham Parfait, Jr. and his wife Robin, and Holly Lawson and her husband Buck. He was also a cherished grandfather to Kevin, Devin, JaeLyn, Elijah, Anthony,Jacob Jr, Reanna, Issac, and Jaycelynn, and a great-grandfather to Desmond and Connor and a godfather to Amy, Sierra, Skylar, Evan, and Margaret.

Ellis was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise Robinson, his father, Abraham Parfait, Sr., his mother-in-law, Mary Trosclair and his siblings, Elton Billiot, Sr. and Eloise Naquin.

The loss of Antoine Ellis “Moui” Billiot, Sr. leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his loving nature, his dedication to his family, and his warm presence. May he rejoice with those who went before him and continue to watch over his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 10:00 am till 10:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 8:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
