Betty Sumrall Quave, 88, a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Houma, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
The family will have a private memorial service in Betty’s honor.
She is survived by her children, Anna L. Quave, R. Lee Quave (Mary), Brian K. Quave, and Karen Quave; grandchildren, Logan K. Luke (Jessica), Cory Quave (Jamie), Erin Quave, Christopher W. Quave (Danielle), Kerry A. Quave (Michelle), Ashley Clement, Casey Clement, and Abigail Philbrick; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Van, Oliver, Lincoln, Dylan, Madeline, Minerva, Aubrey, Liam, Emma, Augustus, and Connor; and brothers, Melvin and Hollis Sumrall.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James “Jim” Quave; her granddaughter, Linden N. Luke; parents, Louis and Bessie Sumrall; and ten brothers and sisters.
Betty will forever be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. Lovingly known as “Honey” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
