Dotsy Benoit Rodrigue, 102, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 6:05 AM. Born November 22, 1921 she was a native of Chackbay and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ordoyne Funeral Home and will continue on Monday December 4, 2023 from 8:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
She is survived by her four sons, Ellery Rodrigue (Gayle), Myron Rodrigue (Judy), Glenn Rodrigue (Trudy) and Brian Rodrigue (Connie); three daughters, Elaine Rodrigue, Iris Rousseau (Gary) and Denise Olivier (Jerome); 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Cayall” Rodrigue; parents, Ferdinand and Bridget Borne Benoit; brother, Royal “Roy” Benoit; sister, Hazel B. Morvant.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lafourche Home for the Aged and Hope Hospice for their care and compassion.
