Edison “Island Buffalo” Joseph Dardar Sr., 74, a native and resident of Isle de Jean Charles, passed away on December 12, 2023.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 9am to 11am, with the funeral services to begin at 11am, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Dardar; sons, Edison Dardar Jr. and wife Jacqueline and Robert Dardar; granddaughters, Angel and Heather Dardar; brothers, Jessie Sr., Levis, Dominique Jr. “Dominick” and Tommy Dardar; sisters, Oxcelia Naquin, Bernadette Naquin, Norma Chaisson and Betty Chauvin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Dardar; parents, Dominique Sr. and Elodia Dardar; brother, Leroy Dardar and Gillis Dardar Sr.; and sisters, Carmen LeBouef, Ann Portier, and Delina Guidry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samart Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
