Hilda Smith Authement, 89, a native and resident of Chauvin, passed away on December 26, 2021.
A visitation will be held at Vision Christian Center in Bourg, on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the celebration of life at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at the Chauvin Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Authement, Vickie (Raymond) LeBouef, Doris (Paul) Savoie, Joanne Francis, Nancy (Todd) Crochet, Brian (Jeanette) Authement, Michael (Susan) Authement, Shaun Authement and Peter Authement; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Joseph Authement; son, Lionel Paul Authement; son-in-law, Henry Francis Sr.; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; her parents, Clovis and Rose Carrere Smith; brothers, Nolan, Roland, and Houston Smith; sister, Rita Smith Rodrigue.
She was retired from Terrebonne Parish School Board, and a parishioner at Little Caillou Baptist Mission Church, and was a devoted loving mother to all and will be missed.
