James “Jimmy” Robert Carrere, Jr., age 67, passed away on February 9, 2023. James was born in Biloxi, MS and a resident of Houma.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Merrille Catherine Morgan Carrere; children, Anna Black (Travis), Courtney Sanford, and James Carrere III (Paige); grandchildren, Maddie Vetra, Trevor Tackaberry, Hersey Mayeaux, Kayden Carrere, Taylor Sanford, James Carrere IV, Corbin Black; great grandchildren, Ty Shelley and Bennett Linden; mother, Jerry Hotard Carrere; sister, Susan Carrere; nieces and nephews, Heather Bauer, Jamie Carrere, and Caitlin Verrett, Mike and Maxx Alford, Shawn Michael Morgan.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James Robert “Big Jim” Carrere; brother, Michael James Carrere.
Jimmy was a well-respected member of the oilfield rental industry. Jimmy loved to fish, hunt, garden, and spend time with his family and friends. He was a loving friend who many would describe as family, he will be missed by all who knew him. Jimmy leaves a beautiful legacy behind to be reunited with his father, brother, and friends. He now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
