Joseph A. Duplantis, Jr., 83, a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Laurel, MS, passed away on August 4, 2023.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park from 11:00 am until religious services at 2:00 pm. The burial will take place in Laurel, MS at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Diane H. Duplantis; son, Mark J. Duplantis (Cindy King); daughters, Renee D. Davis (Rick Davis) and Alison D. Reeves (Ray Reeves); brothers, Dwight Duplantis and Ted Duplantis; sisters, Bonnie LeBLanc, Gloria Stringer, and Sonya St. Amant; grandchildren, Natalie Inderjeet (Harry Inderjeet), Richard Davis, III (Morgan J. Davis), Rayford Reeves, Harrison Reeves, Baley Reeves (Destin Hudson), Hunter Duplantis (Rachel J. Duplantis), Patty Stevens, Becky Detiveaux (Shawn Detiveaux) and Tommy Bergeron; great-grandchildren, Remington Reeves, Saint Hudson, Richard Davis, IV, Sawyer Stevens and Stella Stevens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Duplantis, Sr. and Edith Luke Duplantis; brothers, Earl Duplantis and Nolan Duplantis; sisters, Juanita Green and Dula Dupre.
