Justin “Bubba” Michael Matherne Sr., 31, a native Jesup, GA and resident of Houma, passed away on November 10, 2023.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 3pm to 6pm at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue.
He is survived by his mother, Kim Boudreaux and step father, Troy Thibodeaux of Louisiana; children, Justin Michael Jr., Audrey Nikole, Briella Lea, and Eli Alfred; sisters, Kayla and Michelle Hendrix of Louisiana, Harlie Johnson and Hailey Matherne of Georgia; brother, James Dean Blackwell of Georgia; grandmothers, Fonda Boudreaux of Georgia, Gladys Matherne of Louisiana; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Aflred Matherne Jr.; grandfathers, Ira Boudreaux Jr. and Lee A. Matherne Sr.
Justin worked with LeBlanc & Associates for 6 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on his truck and playing pool. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his children.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Justin’s mother to assist with future expenses for his children.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
