Magnus John Henry, 71, a native of Chauvin, LA, and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully Friday, February 24, 2023.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home.
Magnus is survived by his daughters, Melissa Turner (Kevin), Jessica Fitch (Jared), Tonia, Samantha Henry, and Tiffany Henry; son, Nicholas Henry; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Magnus and Inez Henry; and son, Jonathan Henry.
Magnus was a loving father and grandfather. He was a dedicated officer for Terrebonne Parish Sheriffs office for several years. Magnus was a jack of all trades and was able to hold a conversation about anything even if he didn’t know much about the subject. He enjoyed working bingo games and spending time with his grandchildren. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved eating Popeyes. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
