Marie Daphne Boudreaux Musso, age 101, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. She was a native of Houma, La., and current resident of Broussard, La.


Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10, 2022, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.

Daphne is survived by her children, Jacqueline Musso of Dallas, Tx., David Musso of Brownsville, Tx., and Timothy Musso and wife Elizabeth of Lafayette, La.; grandchildren, Shea Musso (Michelle), John Musso and Isabella Musso Perkins (Douglas); great grandchildren, Ian and Ivy Musso.

Daphne is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Joseph Musso; parents, Paul Milton Boudreaux and Sarah Duplantis Boudreaux, brothers, Joseph Ray Boudreaux, and John Milton Boudreaux.


Daphne was a loving and caring woman to her family. She loved gardening, cooking, and entertaining. Above all beside her love for her family, Daphne held the position of Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, 1943 – 1945. Daphne leaves a beautiful legacy behind and reunited with her family who passed before her. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all her care givers and the staff at Camelot of Broussard Assisted Living, her home for the past seven years. They would also like to thank the Veterans Administration for their years of support.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Veterans Assistance Program in honor of her name.
