Mary Anne Millet Van Alstine

Mary Anne Millet Van Alstine, 85, died Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 9:22 am. Born March 10, 1938 she was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

She is survived by her son, David P. Van Alstine (Tonia); granddaughters, Raye Anne Trahan (Eddie), Allyce Whitney (Stan), great grandchildren, Anna Raye, Amelie and Luke Trahan and Adelyn Whitney; brothers, Herbert Millet, Jr. (Lou), Kenneth Millet (Laura), Frank Millet (Georgette); sister, Vera Thibodeaux (Adrian).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Vera Millet, Sr.; sister, Jean Ellen Gunter.

The family would like to thank Heritage Manor of Houma for her care the past 3 years.

There will be no funeral services but the family will meet privately in her remembrance.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Francis de Sales Elementary School or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
