Marylinda Norris

Marylinda Norris, 58, passed away on July 2, 2023.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm, with the Memorial Service to begin at 5pm, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue.

She is survived by her son, Phillip Smith and wife Michaela; grandchildren, Destiny Hamrick and husband Johnny, Aaliyah Smith, Bryanna Smith, and Gabrielle Smith; great grandchild, Benjermin Hamrick; mother, Freddie Webre; father, Richard Webre; brothers, Blaine Ockerman and wife Barbara, Richard Webre Jr. and wife Denise; sisters, Kayla Chapman and husband Byron, Trudy Bamburg; nieces, Ashley Marcel and husband Logan, Amanda Wolf, Whitney Pepper and husband Dylan, Sarah Ockerman, Kaitlynn Chapman, Lexie Terrebonne and husband Darrin Jr., Maegan Murphy and husband Kassey, Whitney Logan and husband Cody, and Kasey Mayes; nephews, Blaine Ockerman Jr., Lane Chapman, and Mathew Mayes.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Foster; brother, Robert Foster.

Marylinda enjoyed watching LSU football but what she loved above all else was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved them to the moon and back. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was loved and will continue to be loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
