Megan Shondell Brown, 34, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, transitioned on Friday, December 15, 2023.

Megan leaves to cherish her memories one infant son, Saint Dior Harris-Wagner; Father, Daryl (Karonda) Brown, Sr.; Mother, Debra A. Johnson; Brothers, Daryl Brown, Jr., Damari Franklin, Jeremiah J. Dumas, and Devante Givens; Sisters, Ashley Garner, Brittany Garner,  Chancyea Franklin, Dajaune Brown, and Kyra Brown; Paternal Grandfather, Melvin (Mary) Brown; and seven nieces and nephews; Uncles, Ernest Johnson, Sr., Charles Johnson, Warren Michael Johnson, Cedric Johnson, Willie Parke, Jr., Lonnie Britton, Derrick Brown, and Desmond Brown;  Aunts, Loretta Jasper, Barbara Parker, Denise Britton, Etta Johnson, and Martha Johnson; and God Parents, Randolph (Barbara) Chapman and  Gwendolyn Chapman.

She is preceded in death by Paternal Grandmother, Delores St. Julian; Maternal Grandparents Jack and Albertha Johnson; Paternal Great-Grandparents, Charlie and Elizabeth Aubert; Maternal Great Grandparents, Sherman and Louise Harris; Uncles, Jack, Jr., Leroy and Caldwell Johnson, Raymond Jasper Sr., Jeffery and Curley St. Julian, and Joe Rainey; Aunts, Marion and Denise Johnson, and Shirley Young.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at St. Luke Baptist Church, 3755 Bayou Black Dr., Houma, LA 70360, from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Megan worked as an educator in the Terrebonne (formerly) and Lafourche Parish Public School System. She was the operator of “The Learning Lab” tutoring services and tutored many children in the Tri-Parish area. She will be greatly missed.
