Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, March 3, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. with burial following in church cemetery.
Peter is survived by his wife of 24 years, Penny Marie Dupre Chauvin; parents, Larry James and Linda Ann LeCompte Chauvin; daughter, Ashley Lynn Chauvin and companion, Charles; son, Dustin Louby Dupre and wife, Mandy; brothers, Chad J. and wife, Kimberly, Donald J. and wife, Melissa, Steven C. and Ken J. and companion, Trish ; sisters, Danielle M. Chauvin and companion, Berry, and Annette M. Ledet and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Kyra and Hayden Lunceford, Nevaeh, Holden and Lydia Dupre; grandmother, Mildred LeBoeuf Chauvin; mother-in-law, Charlotte Neil Dupre; brother-in-law, Tracy J. Dupre and wife, Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews.
Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Randy J. Chauvin; grandparents, Andrew J Chauvin, and Aubrey and Bertha LeCompte; Father-in-law, Manuel J. Dupre; and brother-in-law, Neal J. Dupre.
Peter was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Peter was a Jack of all trades. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
