Stephen John Duet, Jr., age 78, passed away at home on April 30, 2022, with his wife and family by his side.
Steve was born on August 3, 1943 to Stephen John Duet, Sr. and Dorothy Ann King Duet and grew up in Schriever, La. He was a graduate of Terrebonne High School and Nicholls State University. He was a loving husband and father, a great cook and a true Louisiana sportsman with a love for anything outdoors. His happiest days were those in which he spent time with his family.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife- Melissa Kay, his four children, Victoria Duet, Teri Duet Ledet, Nanci Duet, and Stephen Don “Snapper” Duet, three step daughters Bridgette Carrier, Melynda Rodrigue and Rebecca Scott and sons-in-law, Dale Carrier, Brad Rodrigue and Frank Scott. He was a very proud grandfather of eight granddaughters, eight grandsons, and nine great-grandchildren. He also cherished his relationships with his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janifer Duet Hebert, his brother Jack Duet, and brother-in-law, Patrick Hebert.
There will be a Celebration of life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Samart Funeral Home, 4511 West Park Avenue, Gray, LA.
